Safety & Health Expo – May 25, 2011 Lackawanna College

The Northeastern Pennsylvania Labor Management Council (NEPALMC), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) the Northeast PA Chapter of the ASSE, the PA Department of Labor and Industry, the AFL-CIO, the Northeast Pennsylvania Manufacturers and Employers Association and Lackawanna College are pleased to announce the 2011 Northeastern Pennsylvania Safety and Health Expo. This event is a comprehensive one day conference that will be held at Lackawanna College in Scranton, Pa on May 25, 2011.  John Hermanson, Region 3 Administrator for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is the Keynote Speaker. Workshops   offered include Emergency Evacuation, OSHA Update, Hazard Communication, The Aging Workforce, How to Prevent Slips, Trips and Falls, Developing an Injury and Illness Prevention Program, Capabilities and Limitations of Personal Protective Equipment, Developing a Respiratory Protection Program,  Preparing for a Workers’ Compensation Hearing,  Workplace Safety Committee Certification, Behavior Based Safety, Fire Prevention Certification, and Combustible Dust. In addition to breakout sessions, participants will have an opportunity during the day to visit exhibitors offering a wide variety of safety information.
