The Northeastern Pennsylvania Labor Management Council, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) the Northeast PA Chapter of the ASSE, the PA Department of Labor and Industry, the AFL-CIO, the Northeast Pennsylvania Manufacturers and Employers Association and Luzerne County Community College are pleased to announce the 2010 Northeastern Pennsylvania Safety and Health Expo. This event is a comprehensive one day conference that will be held at Luzerne County Community College in Nanticoke on May 26, 2010. Workshops will be offered in two tracks; one for employers/management and one for employees. Some of the workshops offered include Developing a Workplace Violence Policy, OSHA Update, How to Prepare for a Workers’ Compensation Hearing, Erecting a Scaffold, NFPA 70E – Arc Flash Hazards, Workplace Safety Committee Certification, Emergency Preparedness, Lock out/Tag out, Preparing for Confined Space Hazards and Indoor Air Quality. In addition to breakout sessions, participants will have an opportunity during the day to visit exhibitors offering a wide variety of safety information.
